The
publication of this guide is part of a more complex project
which, with some difficulty, the Municipal Administration is
bringing to term in order to re-value, safeguard and revitalise
the Historic Centre as it represents the most important reference
point for the identity of all the Caulonians who live in the
territory, in the nation, indeed the world. To contribute to
the safeguard of our historical heritage, of the traditions
borne of centuries, to stimulate their rediscovery; to comply
with the thirst for knowledge regarding our roots, thankfully
still present in our younger generations; to offer to them and
to our visitors, hoping that they’ll be more and more numerous,
and to our expatriates who will turn these pages with pride
and nostalgia, this easy to consult high quality guide; lastly,
to finish a job begun around twelve years ago: these are the
motivations which underlie this publication. To all those who,
in different roles, with different responsibilities and different
areas of competence have played a part in the fulfilment of
this project, a heartfelt thank-you.
